Casa Malaparte

Cruising by the iconic Casa Malaparte (also known as Villa Malaparte), one of the finest examples of Italian Modernist architecture as immortalized in Jean-Luc Godard's 1963 film Contempt (Le Mépris).

The villa, a prominent red masonry structure with 99 steps leading to a rooftop patio, is perched 32 meters above the sea on Punta Massullo at the eastern edge of Capri overlooking the Gulf of Salerno.
